David and Nasha were both born in Richmond, B.C., Canada. David was born on March 1, 1979 and Nasha was born almost 8 months later on October 27, 1979.
Both David and Nasha attended Hugh McRoberts Secondary School, where they met through mutual friends in Grade 11. After hanging out with the same crowd during their Grade 12 year, they quickly became friends. That Spring, David mustered up the courage to ask Nasha to their high school graduation. Nasha gladly accepted, and the next week, on March 13, 1997, he officially "asked her out." They have been a happy couple ever since (that's almost 8 years!).
After high school, David and Nasha headed off together to start their undergraduate degrees at UBC. Nasha earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Biology and Genetics and was accepted to medical school at the University of Western Ontario the following year. David earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Engineering Physics with an Electrical Engineering option and later joined Nasha in Ontario to complete a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Waterloo.
On December 31st, 2002 (New Year's Eve), over a romantic dinner for two, David asked Nasha to marry him. Nasha happily accepted and they spent the remainder of the night celebrating with family and friends.
Nasha is currently finishing her fourth and final year of medical school and will be entering a residency program in family medicine on July 1, 2005. Since completing his Masters degree, David has been working in intellectual property and applications development at a local high-tech company, D-Wave Systems. The couple plans to settle down in the Vancouver area and start a family.
